45th U.S President: Donald Trump
What an Election for 2016. We had one candidate who was born with silver spoon and been a business man and celebrity who was going through 75 lawsuits and scandals of sexual harassment charges and we has another who was on trial for conspiracy. They have bad mouth each other for many months and with enough bad things to talk about each other due to media exposing lot of things. But, it all came down to 11/8/2016 election night.
Many thought that Hilary Clinton would have been the first woman president in U. S History with polls showing her with great numbers and I even think the Trump camp thought the same, but what a surprise. With many Republicans stopping supporting Trump, we thought the vote would have been unanimous for Clinton. But the people have spoken. People's initial idea became "We rather have ass that we know than ass that we do not understand" which is understandable as, even though he may have came off as racist, sexist, big mouthed, bigot, he was something we could see as clear as day, who came off as a villain. However, Clinton, we did not understand. Many people believe Hilary did not stand her ground and said anything to make everyone happy and I believe that was the same reason why many thought to vote for Trump because at least we know his roll, we did not know what we are dealing with when it came to Hilary.
It all came down to few battleground states; MI, PA, FL, NC, WI, and OH. Trump taking FL was big hit as FL has 29 electoral votes which is huge. Then, MI and PA followed with Trump. But these were very close in the race. MI is usually a Blue state that voted Democrat and PA as well, but FL has always flip flop. Question would be "why a blue state became red state, meaning how come a liberal became conservative?". MI or many mid west states are steel workers and what it seems that many of these steel workers or mid class white family seems to feel that they are sick of politicians and want to try something new. And, even though, they are fully behind everything Trump is saying or believing, they are ready for a change and have someone in oval office that is not a politician who promised to help the working American citizens.
When the election seems to lean towards Trump, stock market was scared and international market started to plunge a bit. Canada immigration website has been crashing all through out the election day and people were expressing sadness and madness towards the result.
My personal opinion after the election is that, even though Democrat party did not win, we outta give Trump a chance. Even before he started his presidency, we are expressing hate and I want to say that this is how McCain/ Romney supporters felt for 8 years, having president that they did not support but turns out nothing really much happened and days kept going.
We outta give this man a chance. If he screws up, we can impeach him, but for now, let's give him the benefit of doubt.
