Arsene Lupin: Master of Disguise

Image
If you read my blog, my last post was about "selective broadcasting" by our nation and it's brain washing tactics. So by saying that, this is one of those cases. When I was in Junior High, we had to do a book report and I had hard time choosing what I wanted to do report on. My teacher comes up and asked "What's your favorite book or author?". I ended up choosing my all time favorite book by my all time favorite author, Arsene Lupin by Maurice LeBlanc. She had no clue what I was talking about or who the author was. Later on I figured out that, Lupin books are from France and this was one of "Selective Broadcasting" case. Now, the back story is set, let me tell you what this story is all about. Arsene Lupin is a thief, who is master of disguise and he was kinda like robin hood(the whole, rob from rich and give to poor, type of deal). But Lupin stories weren't about person stealing from left and right and giving the items to poor, it was a legi

Blind Vision of America

The land of the free and the home of the braves; thats the last sentence of our national anthem. Much as this country portraits ourselves to be a land of free, how much freedom are we really getting? What is the proper word that fits our societies meaning of Freedom? We often criticize other nations and it's hardship the country's leaders are putting through their citizens (i.e: North Korea, Iraq, Libya etc.) but are we really free? I would say we are free under the law which now days is kind of stiff. Now days, we are getting charged for everything, even standing on a grass. But I am not here to talk about governing system; I'm here to talk about the broadcasting of media and monopoly. This country it's legal to be monopoly and this basically results old saying of "Rich gets richer, poor gets poorer". So this basically keeps the same rich people in a loop, and with same monarchy idea we have, riches are staying in rich side and poor are stuck doing the same t

Soccer/ Futbol: the sports that bigger than sports.

Soccer; to many American, its an unfamiliar sport but it's the most common sport for suburban kids to play. Soccer to many Americans are boring with low scores not much action but just running up and down the field. Soccer or Futbol you might say, it bigger and more than that. Soccer someone like a chess match, every move counts. Soccer is played by 10 player plus the goalie and its tactically thought out or planned out game. Even though there aren't much scoring in the game, it's the battle in every possession goal is the glory resulted from fine team works and finishes. However, America seems like it's catching up on the soccer trend. Even though soccer to many american is just a sport, some other countries, it's life and death. Iran president has killed the national team after their defeat,; so you can't tell me it's not about life and death. How about this story? During last world cup, Ivory Coast was having a "Civil War". Didia Drogba, a Ivory

Whom are true conservatives?

Now, if you don't know me or my history; I am an immigrant from south korea. But being an immigrant gave both advantage and disadvantage on manny things. Not to side track, lets get to the point. Biggest advantage of bring an immigrant gave me is to view the society more open. Kind of like a third eye or view from the out side of the box you might say. This brings us to the point, the word "conservative". Its kind of hard for me to look at a country with 400 years of history and think we are conservative by trying to keep the tradition because 400 years of tradition is still little too soon. Now don't go around calling me a commie because I am proud to be a Korean-AMERICAN(yes, I do have a citizenship). Back to the point, I think people are calling themselves "conservatives" by consumerism standards. But are these "conservatives americans" really the definition or the face of conservatism? To me, I think any low to mid class families are the real c
