Is Windows Phone 7 "The Future"?

When we generally think of Smartphone, we think of brands such as Android, BlackBerry, maybe Palm, and of course, the iPhone. But does Window really come up in that category? My first interaction with Window Phone was when T Mobile introduced the T Mobile Wing, which was known as first smartphone with WI-FI capability, SD card slot, e mail and online accessibility. It was new, it was fresh, it was SLOW!!!!. I had that phone and also I had the Motorola Razor during that time but I ended up using Razor way more cause it was easy to use, and Wing was just.......horrible. From that day I promised myself, I will never get another Windows phone. After the Motorola, I got myself a G1 and introducing of Android OS. Even now, I have Android phone and I am not looking to change anytime soon. My friend recently switched from Windows phone(older version) to Android also and she loves it. I think that was my doing. But, lets get back to main story. Windows has dropped new OS for smartphone. Its no where near the success and fame like Apple or Google has in mobile game but it looks like Microsoft is getting the idea what people want for smartphone. I think Microsoft has the ability and of course the funding to satisfy the consumers, its just that Microsoft has not yet reached its fame and doesn't really know what the consumer wants. However, when I messed around with the new WP 7(Window Phone 7), I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed it. It was smooth, simple, and well organized. Marketplace is growing slowly but consistently and also they are updating their OS to meet the perfection. One thing WP 7 people are complaining or hoping to see improve on is customization.Phones are personal, and WP 7's brick style layout is pretty much set and can not be changed, that goes for the color of the bricks. Also, the whole copy and paste function that is lacking at this moment are the main complains WP 7 is hearing. But, I do believe WP 7 or Microsoft is right on track and as long as WP keep it up and work on it, I would say it will be a great competition for both Android and iPhone.
