WA: Less Casino, More School

What has happen to our beautiful state? In past few years, Washington(WA) state has been going down the hill faster than Halle Berry's movie career. Even though, I still think WA is geographically most beautiful state in U.S, politically, I'm ashamed. I'm not just talking of senators or governor(oh, don't worry. Chris Gregoire will be talked of), I'm talking about every State officials. What happened to this beautiful state with full of potentials and promises. Now, we are becoming like California.
When I first moved to WA in 2001, I wasn't thrilled about it. I was living in LA; full of Sun, styles, liberals, ideas, inspirations, and many many other things; so the idea of city that rains 80% of the year and all the green trees made me feel isolated and some what "Country". But years passed by and honestly, I grown to love this state more than any other states in U.S. WA has fresh air, great people, unique style, coffee, Microsoft, and many many other things. But one thing I loved about WA was the educational system. Even though I was only in 7th grade, it was visible to see that WA education system was great. There was no such thing as closing of school, or school that need funds to help the teachers with living cost; everything was top notch thanks to former governor Gary Locke. He did such a great job, he served multiple times as governor and now he is foreign relationship person for China. but get back to the point.
I never really liked or even cared for politics too much when I was young, but I have to say that he did a great job and when he was finally leaving his position, I really felt that I was going to miss him as the governor. So who is next? Chris Gregoire(Dramatic music cued).
During her terms, I grew up a bit and I started to see WA started to change. What I notice the most is, lot of school closures to teachers strikes, over filling of schools, less text books to go around; this is insane!! WA was proud of it's education system and now what we have that to replace with? Casinos. more and more casinos are getting built and more neighborhoods are having their crime rate increase with increasing of usage of narcotics. What else? 520 became a toll bridge and if you don't have a "Good-to-Go" pass, you will be paying, roughly, $10 per day to go back and forth to your work(Even with good to go pass, it still roughly about $6 per day). This state or I like to think more around Pudget Sound area, things are getting out of control and I think our governor has lost the site of priorities.
Please, Less Casinos and more schools. Kids are the future and let's not crush their dreams eve before they can dream about it.
