Economy awakes patriotism
Money, finance, economy, Wall St., stock, gas, oil; these are probably the main headlines we see on our daily newspaper, lately. We as an Americans hate to admit so, but we understand that the country is in debt for lot of money. How do we know that? Our daily routine has been affected by it. Grocery got little more pricey, gas is almost $4 per gallon, everything seems to take the price to higher level just a notch for us to get by but be hurt for it. Occupy Wall St. movement is growing stronger and their actions has been loudly putting second thoughts to our daily cycled mind. At this point, you are almost in a need to choose a side; one who enforce the idea and ones who try to revolutionize the country for the people. But some reason, more shits the country gets, patriotic the people are getting.
Let's face it; we owe other countries lot of money and we know the Fort Knox is just a place with empty cells with trace that was left behind by the great history this country had. We are frustrated that our taxes are sky rocketing, hate that our education has gone shits, and mad that fat cats got paid out but common people are the ones getting mugged to help pay for the debt our past Chief of Commanders made. But when days such as 9/11 or veterans day comes, we get all choked up and get the urge to sing Lee Greenwood's song "Proud to be an American" because....well...I know at least I'm free.
Maybe it's all the world's natural disasters that are making us fear the greatness of higher authority. Even though we aren't really talking about it, but 2012 is still on our mind and we are at the end of 2011, checking off our bucket list to make peace within ourselves. Let's be honest people, 2011 has not been a usual year like 2003 or 2007, 2011 carries lot of meaning to us and feel like we need to go out with a bang. Are we living in fear that is greater than the idea that suggests the crashing of the economy to one of the greatest nation ever been around? Are we looking at another empire to be fallen? Are we fear of losing our governing system but regular Joes' are trying to revive it? Are we mad at our government? Is this a mutiny? Is this a revolution? I think quote from "Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay" has captured it perfectly; I think we have stop trusting the government but we do believe in the country. We hate the way the leaders of this free land has made the citizens go through but we are still moving forward to accomplish the idea of "For the people, by the people". Even though our enemies are our own selves, we hope to change the nations way is tried by cries of the regular citizens who wakes up early in the morning to go to their first job with coffee in their one hand and keys on the other hand, people who takes 30 minute lunch after working 5 hours straight, people who work hard not to get evicted from their apartment, people who struggle to make decision from paying bills to saving for their children's college funds; THE REGULAR JOE'S.
But we are stronger than any other. Regular Joe's are weed that is growing through concrete. No matter what is ahead of us or pressing us down, we rise up to accomplish our goal. The nation is only good as it's people and even though I do believe in idea of hierarchy, majority will ruled the minority. That is said, not ethnically ,but in our common sense and affects of our daily routine that makes us the common men who share the same ideology of the aspect of life. More the rich messes up, higher the people will raise the flag to claim the ownership of the land and it's economy. Rant, my people, let the ones who claim to be "in charge" see who really are the ones in charge. Reach my people, reach the hearts of the evils to show them the value of little things. Vision my people, let them see the world through your eyes and what the utopia looks like. Breathe my people, breathe to fight another day for the right to have the free will. Believe in the country.
