Not many people say these words any more; Sir or Ma'am. I worked in customer service long enough that if became words that I use frequently. People love to here and some prefer to be just called by their name when I call them that. But these are words of manner and you can't go wrong showing some manner. But this blog isn't about manners, it's more about domino affect. Currently, I work at a convenient store and I deal with many different characters; Some rich, some poor, some young and some old. Older generation love hearing younger person call them Sir or Ma'am because it shows sign of respect. Not really in Pullman but on the Westside of Washington, lot of young people come in and greet with "What's Up, Yo, Sup", which I am not mad at but, personally, I don't really like it. How many people actually heard someone say that? If you did hear that from someone, you should really slap that person and tell them to get there S#!t together because marijuana doesn't ruin someones life. When you go through the D.A.R.E program or any drug awareness programs, they tell you that marijuana is a "Gateway" drug that will lead you to try some other harsh drugs. Maybe so, but it's not because marijuana made you do it, it's your personal self that made the choice to do so. It's not like you are going to say "Well, I did weed today, I'm gonna try coke tomorrow, then heroin, then some crack", it really doesn't work that way. Early in this year my friend, S.W, kept telling me to look into this dude name, Macklemore. At that moment, I really didn't want to because I do not like people telling me what I should look into. But so short sighted; she only wanted to share great music with me which now I am in love with. I heard of the dude name Macklemore who was from Seattle but I really didn't look into because I was on my own to discover few new music (i.e. Beatles, Dylan, Hendrix, AC/DC/ Zeppelin...all time great musics), but damn, was I wrong not to let his guy into my playlist. Then, one faithful morning at work, my friend had Pandora on and I heard the full "Thrift Shop" song and it sparked the interest, but still little under the shades. I can not deny that I love certain shoes. Jordan, and Nike and certain Adidas just look so awesome and unique. And, as a person who is creative, I love all forms of art and shoes and shirts are like walking art materials, so I love it. But I never been the type who hide away shoes or worry about them. I don't remember where I heard it but, when I was young, I heard "stain on your shoes are mark of your hard work" and I take that literally. So, when I heard the song by Macklemore's "Wing$", I loved it because I could relate to it. Even though I wasn't crazy sneaker head like some of my friends, I had love for them. Before Nelly came out with the song "Air Force 1", I had brand new mid top, white on white, forces and I loved it. White on white forces are still one of my favorite shoes, but I wasn't so crazy about keeping them clean like that because, once they have one scuff, it's done for. It was the first terrorism happened in our soil ever since 9/11. On April 15th, 2013, Boston had it's annual Boston Marathon which, roughly, 23,000 participated. Around 2:50 PM eastern time, there was an explosion happened near the finish line of the marathon on north side of Boylston St. And 10 seconds later, second explosion went off near Lenox Hotel. Roughly, 1/4 of the runners crossed the finish line by that time. However; the explosion killed 3 people including a little boy and 170 people injured. In this act, Pakistan Taliban have claim that THEY ARE NOT the one who executed the bombing and suspects are still unknown. FBI is looking for any source of media footage or any help they could find to solve this crime. After the explosion, President Obama address this  tragic incident and quoted "Make no mistake we will get to the bottom of this and we will find out who did this and find out why they did this". Ever since I could legally work, I worked. Mostly it was customer service jobs because 1) easier to get a job, 2) keep an update on current events, 3) networking and expanding your resources, 4) learn to deal with varieties of people, and lastly 5) love interacting with people. But even with these outstanding pros of working in customer service jobs, there are many annoying that comes with it. I worked as/ at clerk, fast food,  waiter, salesperson, grave yard shift, factory worker, and manager; so I know about the customer service industry pretty well and I been in this industry for an about a decade now(26 yrs old), so I believe I do have the right to speak on the topic. Here are my list of pet peeves of customers: 1) No greeting: With my experience, I learn to speak the certain way at work to find the common ground. When customer enters, I normally greet them; but there are customers who comes in and are in such rush that they can not even greet me back. It'...

“Swag” is like modern terminology for “Cool”, and “Cool” became “Ok”. But, thing people need to understand is that, YOU CAN’T BUY SWAG! You can drape yourself in brand name clothes(buying Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Jordans, and Rolex watch) but when you don’t have it, you just don’t have it. Not to flatter myself, but when I go out, I become a life of party. When I went to some bar in Seattle; I didn’t see anyone on the dance floor and when me and my friend got to it, I started to see people come into dance. When I went to Tiki in Kirkland; the bar was dead and few of my friends were sitting around drinking. Me and my friend who walked in flipped that place upside down and later that night, we had all eyes on us. After Tiki, we moved to Time Out and we hit the floor again and at the end of the night, girls were giving me high fives, left and right. These are few examples.
